The original text and diagrams in this handbook are by Polo Li and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The English and Simplified Chinese editions are assembled from the corresponding chapters of Awesome AI Roadmap. The book build organizes their reading order, heading hierarchy, and internal links, with attribution and licensing collected here.

This original material may be shared, adapted, and used commercially under the license conditions, including attribution, a link to the license, and identification of changes. Commercial publication does not revoke a CC BY 4.0 license already granted.

Referenced papers, specifications, third-party text, trademarks, screenshots, and code remain subject to their own rights and applicable licenses. The handbook's license does not grant rights to third-party material. Sources are identified in the relevant chapters.

Some chapters draw on Bojie Li's book on AI agent design and engineering, bojieli/ai-agent-book, at commit 985a49d35b9f50937f1f757cf25867672991ded7. That project's license is the Apache-2.0 LICENSE at the same revision. The discussions here are organized around this handbook's own questions and explanations rather than reproducing that book; the individual chapters identify the relevant references. This does not place the handbook as a whole under Apache-2.0.
